Fellowship Program

A 12-month program that offers advanced service, education and networking opportunities.

Enriched Training & Connections

Some participants may seek a more robust experience. For those individuals, Experience Engaged offers an enriching and rewarding Fellowship Program. Each year, we accept up to 30 individuals who commit to a 12-month program that includes training, education, cohort connections, and selections requiring a commitment of 10 or 15 hours per week.

Each Fellow serves at a host site organization working in healthcare access, food security, or other areas of need, or helping older adults remain independent in their own homes. The selections consider each Fellow’s interests and skills. The program also offers an annual “experience benefit” (paid after three months of service) to enable Fellows to pursue educational, cultural and other personal and professional growth opportunities.

A recent group of Fellows received selections in local nonprofits that addressed pressing community needs. During the pandemic, those needs included food security, aging in place, and access to healthcare. Selections are determined each year by a community scan and the number of Fellows.

The Fellowship Program was made possible by a seed grant from the NextFifty Initiative, a Colorado-based private foundation dedicated to funding innovative, mission-driven initiatives that improve the lives of older adults and their caregivers.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. To apply, complete the form.
